The Green Man

A green man is a sculpture, drawing or other representation of a pagan or otherwise vegetative deity.  Often  found as a sculpture in old English churches, it is believed to represent the rebirth or renaissance  after winter. Many english pubs are called  The Green Man.

Here is my take on a full year in the life of The Green Man.

Spring

Summer

Autumn

Winter

  1. Wow, wow, wow Lancer. This is a gorgeous set. I like how you painted him sleeping in Winter. Nice touch. I have a thang for the Green Man meself having a sculpture in the garden.
